I’m running for the Board of Education because I care deeply about our schools and the community they serve. As a parent, special education teacher, and current Board member, I bring a perspective shaped by both personal and professional experience in public education. I believe every student deserves to feel supported, included, and challenged to reach their potential. I also believe strong schools are built through collaboration, by listening to families, supporting our educators and staff, and making thoughtful decisions that put students at the center. I’m proud to serve this community and hope to continue working to ensure our schools are places where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
The Board of Education recognizes that homework and technology can be valuable tools for reinforcing learning, promoting student responsibility, and supporting academic growth. District policies should ensure that homework is purposeful, developmentally appropriate, and equitable for all students. Technology should enhance instruction while maintaining clear expectations for responsible use, student safety, privacy, and appropriate access. Policies should be reviewed regularly to reflect current educational practices, student needs, and changes in technology.
